Preparation has begun for our third mission trip to Pass Christian, Mississippi. We will leave the church on April 26, 2007 and return home on May 6, 2007. We are working on transportation for a second team to leave later in the week for those who can not make the entire trip. James worked with the Sons of a Carpenter from morning to evening while we were rebuilding the sanctuary of the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church even during a time when his wife was in the hospital. His famous quote was “When House #1 (which was the church) is complete then we start on house #2. James put his own life on hold to help the church rebuild, and now he is trying to build his home with no funding. He has been refused by all agencies including his own insurance company and any available government grants that were issued to the residents of Mississippi. God is calling us to help James put his life back together. |

Consider joining the Son’s of a Carpenter Mission Team as we build the home of James and Lebria Stewart located at 371 Fleitas Avenue, Pass Christian, Mississippi. Carpenters will be needed here in Pennsylvania to pre-construct several Phase I projects as well as carpenters to build in Mississippi. The Kempton Community Center has so graciously opened their doors to the Sons of a Carpenter for the pre-construction that is necessary prior to the trip from April 1st – April 26th. We are also looking for a meal coordinator, cooks, project manager, drivers to pick up materials on site, etc. We are all gifted with God given talents.
